COMPLEX FACILITATION FUNDAMENTALS

November 2024

what we offer

Course Outline

Complex Facilitation Fundamentals

In simple terms, complex facilitation is concerned with congruence between:

The nature of the system and/or issue(s) under consideration

The tools, methods and processes used, and, therefore

The role and mandate of the facilitator, and

The role, mandate and experience of the participants.

COMPLEX FACILITATION FUNDAMENTALS - NOV 2025

$1,650.00 incl GST

Join Viv Read and Julie Cunningham to experience the application of complexity based tools and methods.  Based on core principles and frameworks, prior facilitation experience is assumed.

WHAT IT'S NOT...

It is not a universal truth or application appropriate for all situations. Everything in the ‘kit bag’ of a facilitator is relevant – within boundaries.  A fundamental principle is to start with understanding the nature of the issue – not with the favourite tool or method.

It is not only about the Cynefin® framework and Cognitive Edge tools and methods, although these are a great foundation. There are others that are congruent with complexity principles, and the development of Third Space methods, which draw on Cynefin Co, Complexability and Indigenous Knowledges are one example of emerging methods.

Please note, participants numbers on this program are deliberately limited to enable maximum engagement and a customised experience.
